On Friday, December 8th, Donald Norcross (D-NJ 1st) announced affordable-housing units will be built in both Cherry Hill and Gibbsboro thanks to a grant.

The grant, totaling $3.25 million, comes through the Affordable Housing Program and provides funds to build 150 low-income homes.

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey will receive $1.58 million to build homes in Cherry Hill for senior citizens and people with developmental disabilities.

In Gibbsboro, $1.67 million is going towards Project Freedom Incorporated to build homes for the physically disabled.

“I am proud to have supported this federal grant initiative that is helping those who desperately need proper housing and care,” said Norcross in a statement. “These two developmental projects will strengthen our South Jersey economy and provide a bright future for hundreds of members of our communities.”
